About FluxPick
What we do, how we work, and who runs the site
The short version
FluxPick is an India-focused review site for gadgets, smart-home gear, kitchen appliances, and the kind of products you'd find on Amazon.in. We put together side-by-side comparisons, track prices over time, and flag the picks that are actually worth your money.
We don't claim to have physically tested every product in our database (we have over 200 of them — nobody has that many boxes in their house). What we do is a mix: hands-on testing for the products we cover in depth, and careful research from manufacturer specs, owner reviews, and our own short-lists for the rest. Every product page tells you which it is.
How we pick products
Three things matter to us, in this order:
1. Is it actually good? We check return rates, complaint threads, professional teardowns, and long-term owner reviews. A gadget that looks great on paper but breaks after two months doesn't make our shortlists.
2. Is the price fair? Our price-history charts go back months, not days. A "deal" at −15% isn't impressive if the product was 25% cheaper last Diwali. We point that out.
3. Will it work in India? Indian summer heat, voltage fluctuations, monsoon humidity — these matter. A Bluetooth speaker that thumps in a London flat might buzz at 38°C in Delhi. We tell you when a product is built for our conditions and when it isn't.
How we make money
FluxPick is an Amazon Associates affiliate. When you click a product link on our site and end up buying it on Amazon.in, Amazon pays us a small percentage — usually 1–4% depending on the category. You pay the same price either way.
That affiliate relationship does not change our recommendations. We have never accepted payment to feature a product, and we have turned down brands who offered it. If a product is bad, we say so, even if it's a popular affiliate earner. Our full affiliate disclaimer has the details.
Who's behind this
FluxPick is run by a small team based out of Bengaluru. We pay the bills through affiliate commissions and a small amount of sponsored newsletter slots — all clearly labelled.
Ravi Kumar — Lead reviewer. Electronics and smart-home coverage. Six years writing about consumer tech, previously at a hardware trade publication.
Priya N. — Kitchen and home appliances. Background in food science, which is more useful than you'd think for explaining why some air fryers are worth the money and others aren't.
Dr. Anand Krishnan — Health-tech and fitness wearables. Holds a PhD in biomedical engineering; reviews heart-rate and SpO2 claims against actual chest-strap data.
Every product page and blog post is published under a real name. We don't use stock author avatars or generic "the editorial team" bylines.
Trust and transparency
We publish our review methods and affiliate relationships openly. If you want to understand how a recommendation was made, start with these pages:

What we won't do
A short list, because it's easier to read:
• We don't publish reviews for products we can't stand behind. If something is mediocre and we can't find a way to recommend it, we leave it out of our buying guides rather than filler-padding the listicle.
• We don't put a "Limited time offer" label on a price that's been the same for six months. "Deal" means a real price drop compared to recent history.
• We don't use fake urgency ("only 3 left in stock") when we can't actually see stock levels.
• We don't claim "100% unbiased" while taking brand sponsorship. Sponsored content (rare) is clearly tagged at the top of the article.
