Rs9,995. The Blue Yeti USB condenser microphone. Rated 4.4 from 8,808 owner reviews.

The Yeti is the microphone most podcasts started with, and it still earns that: multiple pickup patterns let you switch between solo, interview and room recording, and the headphone jack gives zero-latency monitoring. It is heavy and stable on a desk.

It is a large-diaphragm condenser, so it hears the room. A bare-walled room will sound echoey no matter how good the mic is - treat the room before upgrading the microphone.
